ABOUT US

The goal of the 12th & Adams St. Church of Christ is to worship and glorify God our Father and to perform the Great Commission as commanded by Jesus (Matthew 28:19, 20).We strive to pattern oursleves after the Church which was established on the Day of Pentecost, as described in (Acts 2). We believe and accept the Bible as the inspired Word of God and the basis of our faith and obedience to our heavenly Father.The 12th & Adams St. Church of Christ was established in 1962 for the sole purpose of saving souls and adding to the church. We believe that for one to be saved, they must: 1. Hear the Gospel (Romans 10:17); 2. Believe in Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the Living God (Acts 8:37; 16:31); 3. Repent of his sins (Acts 2:38; 17:30); 4. Confess his faith in Jesus as the Christ (Matthew 10:32; Romans 10:10); 5. Be baptized into Christ, by immersion in water, for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16); 6. Live a righteous life before God and man unto death (I Peter 1:14-16; Revelation 2: 10).

Each Lord’s Day we gather for the purpose of honoring God through the songs we sing, the prayers we offer, and in remembering the death of Christ through partaking of the Lord’s Supper (Communion) (Matthew 26:26-29; Acts 20:7; I Corinthians 11:23-29). We have a free will offering but do not expect anyone who is not a member of this congregation to give. At each service the Word of God will be preached.We invite all to come worship with us at our assembly --12th & Adams St. Church of Christ. We pray that your soul and spirit will be uplifted through fellowship and studying the Divine Word of God.
